Essentially Medical organise free non-promotional Consultant led educational meetings that are usually held virtually  in GP surgeries at early morning, lunchtime or evening.

We recognise that GPs and their colleagues are often unable to find the time to attend meetings in central locations and so virtually we bring the hospital consultants to the GP. Pharmaceutical companies or medical equipment companies are invited to sponsor these educational sessions.

Each attendee receives a Certificate of Participation which can be  sent electronically.

All our meetings follow the guidelines set out in ABPI Code of Practice.

Each meeting lasts on average one hour and offers an opportunity for all clinical staff to benefit from an educational talk and meet their local NHS Consultant. A choice of subjects per speciality is always available and meetings can be booked well in advance. A full list of our speakers together with the topics they cover are available from individual regional team leaders.

Essentially Medical was founded by Evelyn Diamond at the end of 2004. Having worked at The Garden Hospital (now the Hendon Hospital)  for over 10 years, in her role as Marketing Manager she realised that a single well focused introduction between Consultant and GP can add value to both parties.

The opportunity of meeting 'face to face' enables questions to be asked, case histories to be discussed and most of all an opportunity for an update on current trends and new developments within particular specialities.
