Our Story
Essentially Medical was founded in 2004 by Evelyn Diamond, who, after more than a decade as Marketing Manager at Hendon Hospital, recognised a simple but transformative truth: a single, well-focused introduction between a Consultant and a GP can create lasting value for both and ultimately for patients.
What began as a small initiative connecting busy clinicians over early morning or lunchtime sessions soon grew into a trusted medical education network. By coordinating free, consultant-led meetings within GP clinics, Evelyn's model ensured that training came directly to the surgery, at times that suited healthcare professionals.
The approach proved uniquely effective: thousands of sessions delivered, hundreds of consultants engaged, and countless hours saved for GPs, consultants, and the NHS alike. Supported by compliant sponsorship and guided by the ABPI Code of Practice, Essentially Medical became known for bridging education, access, and patient benefit in one streamlined model.
In March 2025, Essentially Medical began a new chapter under the ownership of Dr Harry Greenberg, a GP, and Daniel Ufland, a London-based entrepreneur. Together, they are building on Evelyn's remarkable legacy, expanding the platform's reach, deepening its digital capabilities, and ensuring that the company's founding mission continues to thrive:

Director of Clinical Partnerships
A practising GP with a passion for collaboration in primary care, Harry oversees all clinical and GP partnerships at Essentially Medical. He focuses on ensuring that every session is educationally valuable, compliant, and aligned with the needs of frontline practitioners.
Evelyn Diamond
Founder & Senior Clinical Partnerships Manager
Evelyn founded Essentially Medical in 2004, creating the original model that connects consultants and GP clinics through accessible, consultant-led education. She now manages relationships across both clinics and consultants, ensuring continuity, collaboration, and the personal touch that remains central to the company's ethos.
Faye Shilston
Strategic Growth Lead
With over ten years of experience in successful marketing campaigns, Faye leads Essentially Medical's marketing and communications strategy. Certified by CAP and ASA, she brings a strategic and analytical approach to digital, social, and event marketing, helping connect the right clinicians, partners, and sponsors to the platform.
Debbie Sibley
Events & Business Manager
Debbie oversees the planning and delivery of educational events across the platform, ensuring every session runs smoothly and delivers real value to attendees and partners. She is also a qualified NCT doula and antenatal practitioner, bringing empathy and understanding to her work with clinicians and clinics.
