Sponsorship Terms & Conditions
Essentially Medical is an independent company that specializes in organizing meetings between primary health care professionals and disease area specialists (primarily hospital consultants).
The pharmaceutical industry is offered opportunities to sponsor educational meetings organized by Essentially Medical
The speaker does not receive any remuneration for his or her services and will declare that they are independent and not speaking on behalf of the sponsoring company. The speaker is briefed by Essentially Medical on the principles of the ABPI Code of Practice.
Meetings take place in GP surgeries where no fee is paid to the practice for the use of their facilities. Larger group meetings may use a local community hall where the hire charge is paid direct to the landlord or host organization.
The name of the sponsor will be clearly identified to all those attending, prior to the meeting taking place, in the form of a meeting agenda. This will also appear on the website, signing-in sheet and Certificate of Participation.
The sponsorship fee, paid to the Essentially Medical Team Leader, covers the cost of the provision of refreshments and administration. No money is paid to the speaker or host practice. A cancellation fee of 50% is payable should the sponsor give less than one week’s notice.
Stand meetings require a co-sponsor where a stand can be erected outside the room (inside is acceptable, if no space is available outside). As per ABPI regulations, neither co-sponsor would be permitted to give a formal presentation but allowed to integrate with the attendees, distribute literature and be available to answer questions
Essentially Medical cannot be held responsible if for any reason the Consultant is delayed or called to an emergency, or turnout of projected GP’s is low on the day of the actual meeting, wherever possible we have always catered for the numbers advised to us by the practice managers. If you have agreed to sponsor the meeting you will be billed appropriately.
These Conditions apply to any Educational Talk, which has been organized by Essentially Medical, and sponsored by a specific Company.
