Wayne Halfpenny is a Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery working in the independent sector. He was previously a Consultant at Royal Free Hospital/Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust for 22 years and has over 30 years’ experience in the specialty. Wayne qualified both in Medicine and Dentistry, is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and member of the Association of Facial Plastic Surgeons.

Wayne was the Trust lead clinician for Head and Neck Cancer/Reconstruction for 10 years and a core member of the Thyroid multidisciplinary team. He is also one of the few surgeons to have extensive experience of minimally invasive salivary gland surgery using the latest techniques.

Wayne's other clinical interests are in surgical dentistry and temporomandibular (jaw) joint disorders including facial pain. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Wayne has published over twenty peer - reviewed papers covering all aspects of the specialty and is fully registered with both the General Medical and Dental Council.
