After graduating University College London with prizes, Benji trained in North West London hospitals including Hammersmith, Chelsea and Westminster and Royal Free. He obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Education and a higher research degree in pulmonary hypertension and connective tissue diseases.
He holds a full time substantive NHS consultant post at the Royal Free hospital where he specialises in general rheumatology, adolescent rheumatology, connective tissue diseases and a rare disease called pulmonary hypertension.
He has presented his research at several international conferences and won the Young Investigator Award at the British Society of Rheumatology. He sits on the Education and Training committee at the British Society of Rheumatology and at the Clinical Reference Group for Pulmonary Hypertension.
