Dr Niket Patel is a Consultant Cardiologist & Interventionalist at the Royal Free NHS Trust, a teaching hospital in London. He specialises in all aspects of cardiac care and is a sub-specialist in coronary intervention (including complex techniques and advanced imaging) and pacemaker insertion.
He looks after cardiology in-patients at the Royal Free and at Barnet Hospital sites. He is the cardiology module lead for University College London Medical School medical students teaching and is responsible for training cardiology trainees and interventional fellows in all aspects of general cardiology and coronary intervention. His research interests are in coronary physiology, microvascular function, intra-coronary imaging and myocardial infarction. Furthermore, Dr N Patel is an investigator for several international trials, and well published in high impact peer reviewed journals. In addition, he is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at University College London.
