James Langdon is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon whose clinical practice is dedicated to treating patients with spinal problems.
Mr Langdon qualified from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School (Imperial College), and later undertook his specialist orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He subsequently underwent a one-year UK advanced training fellowship in spinal surgery. Mr Langdon is on the GMC specialist register for Orthopaedic surgery, and is a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons. He is a Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Langdon's main surgical interest is in the use of minimally invasive spinal surgical techniques, as he believes that the use of these techniques improves patient outcomes and reduces length of hospital stay. He offers a full range of surgical treatments for degenerative spinal conditions including lumbar microdiscectomy, spinal decompression, minimally invasive spinal fusions, anterior cervical decompression and fusion/disc replacement, vertebroplasty/balloon kyphoplasty, as well as spinal injections.
